Famous and infamous record shop located in Hamburg and founded in the end of the 70ies by [a466175], who became later manager of Einstürzende Neubauten. They functioned as a sublabel for [l9144], but mainly published and distributed for them as well as for such other legendary labels like Düsseldorf based [l21074] and Klaus Maecks Hamburg-based small own label [l15597] for instance. 1983 Rip Off ceased to exist.
