USA Holiday began in the spring of 2009 by four old friends: Justin Jolley, Joanna Tillman, Jacob and Caleb Graham. It started as an online label, giving away free mp3 releases every friday. We just did the best we could. We've made a lot of friends and a few enemies and shared all sorts of wonderful music with the world. We also released The Drums's "Summertime!" EP in America. . . a modest, limited run, our first unofficial release. But now, nearly two years later, we've branched out and become a real, live, physical record label: The Holiday Friends Recording Co. with CDs and 7"s looming on the horizon. We've also acquired our own recording studio building in the middle of nowhere Maryland where the rent is cheap and we're planning on taking our bands to hang out and think about making records.
