Based in Vienna, Austria, Syntactic released records, tapes and CDs from 1993 to 2001. The label specialized in exceedingly limited editions - typically only 100 of each item (earlier releases were limited to around 60). As a result these are some of the most sought after records ever released in the field of ambient, noise and experimental music. While this label is now defunct, [a524875], the founder and driving force behind the label, is still releasing music through his other label, [l=Klanggalerie].
