Cameo Parkway

Profile

Also appears as "Cameo-Parkway". Label used from '62 to '67 mostly on European releases. For unofficial releases, see [l=Cameo Parkway (2)]. Starting in 1962, the [l=Cameo] and [l=Parkway] labels were combined into "Cameo-Parkway" with a new logo. With dwindling chart success, the company became bankrupt in 1967 and was bought by [a=Allen Klein], who turned it into [l=ABKCO Records]. In the late 1990s, ABKCO revived the Cameo-Parkway name for a series of remastered CD compilations from its catalog and the "Cameo-Parkway Story" box set. NOTE: UK releases of Cameo-Parkway material used a combined logo (using the respective print logos) in the mid-Sixties.
