Berlin-based Afrohouse I House collective & label of [a=Hyenah], [a=Walter Griot], GHEDI, [a=Jane Ryse] and Ukai. Collectively their members are from Nigeria, Angola, Congo, Germany, Senegal and Ethiopia.. Label DNA from the website says: We are heavily inspired by African House music, and equality, diversity and social justice is at the core of our identity. We strive to create spaces where people can feel safe to express themselves, no matter their ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, or social status. We aim to distill and deliver some of the core tenets of African music, namely dance and emotion, to provide some color and warmth in Berlin’s harsh grayscale palette.
