The [l=Royal] Records label was established in the late 1940s. and was largest label in Iran. They began by releasing more traditional Persian music on 78 discs, then reproducing old recordings in the 45 rpm format. [l=Royal Trading Co.] was an Iranian record company, In the 1970 [l=Royal Trading Co.] became a manufacturer for other Iranian labels like [l=Apolon], [l=Pars Record], Lavi, [l=Caspian], [l=Golden Record], Anoushiravan, Juliet, Balet, [l=Karoon] in addition to ordered labels for various music stores in Teheran and other cities. Records for other labels manufactured by [l=Royal Trading Co.] are often recognised by the words ساخت رويال [Manifacture Royal] written on the A Side labels. Releases of Western artists are usually unofficial and licensed due to the vagaries of Iranian law at the time. These should be marked Unofficial. [l=Royal] belonged to the [l=Taraneh Co. Ltd.]
