Spanish record company originally stablished in 1969 as part of [l=Fonogram, S.A.]. Became a subsidiary of Polydor International in September 1971 to separate the product, marketing and sales forces. In 1984 the company, together with Fonogram, S.A., was merged into [l=PolyGram Ibérica, S.A.] They also operated a recording studio, as well as a vinyl and cassette manufacturing plant. For Peruvian, Italian, Portugal and other countries (Not spanish Polydor, S.A.) please use the proper company. For the French Polydor division, use [l=Polydor S.A.] For Venezuelan releases, use [l=Polydor S.A. (2)] For Mexican releases, use [l=Polydor, S.A. (3)]
