Series launched by [l=Polydor International GmbH], first issued with this design most probably around 1978. Partially contained freshly compiled releases, partially consisted of previously released compilations in new design which had been issued before in e.g. the [l=Golden Greats (5)]-series. Some titles remained in press until the late 1980s. Early editions do not show a PRS Hannover embossment on the cover rear and were printed at Gerhard Kaiser GmbH, later 1980s represses show this embossment. On Polydor releases both label variants (with or without white frames) can be found, obviously regardless their actual year of manufacture.
