Formed around 1998/99 by [a=Matt Roth] as a collective / label / recording studio / mail order distribution / online blog / club night for independently produced music, mainly of anti-folk roots. In 2012 the distro section closed and the main headquarters moved from New York to Kansas, as he and [a=Nan Turner] relocated their [a=Schwervon!] project.
