Forty-seven volume set of LPs, licensed from Erato and issued individually by World Record Club from 1970 to 1976. Before 1975, a series of reissues began, before all the volumes had been issued. Reissued again from 1975 (again, before the later volumes had been issued at all) - a few selected volumes were reissued first, before it was decided to reissue them all, in batches of three. The last volumes were thus, it seems, only issued the once. First pressing - strobe label (Vol. 1-6), then herald label. Second pressing - herald label, S- numbers at top of label Third pressing - herald label, R- numbers at top of label (Vol. 1-23 with laminate strip on back of sleeve). Fourth pressing - herald label, R- numbers at top of label (Vol. 1-4 with laminate strip on back of sleeve).
