Euro Star (Lithuania)

Profile

The Label was founded by Sergejus Vorobjovas & Gintaras Sužiedėlis on June 6th 1994 in Rūdiškės, Trakai district. After splitting from it's Polish pirate Euro Star counterpart, Euro Star LT became independent, fully legal label in Lithuania. Because of Polish equipment, Euro Star LT has had by far the best quality cassettes in the game with Dolby digital stereo system. One of the biggest hits in Label's career was the success of country band "Balius" with it's Balius 1, 2 and 3. They made history after 500,000 of "Balius 1" cassettes were sold. This record was never beaten to this day. Active from 1994 to 2001, the Label produced 95 different MC's, 13 CD's & 2 VHS. Although, the 2nd VHS tape was never released due to disagreements. Euro Star LT stopped making MC's & CD's around 2000s, and started operating as a concert agency (Sound, Stage & Light) and became the biggest Event organizer at the time in LT. Label's chief & current owner was and is Sergejus Vorobjovas. Please note that there were a few pirate cassettes released by Lithuanian performers released by Polish/Lithuanian pirate Euro Star, before the split - they are in the main Polish Euro Star page, not here.
