A Shreveport, Louisianan record company. Co-founded during October of 1968 by [a=Don Griffin (3)], [a=Jerry Strickland], and Lewis S. Robinson III as a music production complex, it operated a recording studio, a publisher, and several labels until 1982. During the late 1960s and early 1970s, it housed [l=RPI Record Co.] and partnered with a recording studios in Tyler, Texas, and Nashville, Tennessee as well as several distribution companies including [l=T.K. Productions, Inc.] Its recording studio was initially known as [l=Sound City Recording, Shreveport], but changed its name to [l=Southern Star Recording] during the 1970s.
