The presence of the dog ruining a record with its teeth confirms this as the short but very worthwhile Vinyl Dogs series. This New Jersey label delivered the required beats loud, punchy and pressed loud for maximum breakbeat collector appeal. The lack of cover and basic label design kepted Vinyl Dogs releases very cheap to buy. Affordable samplers were still fairly short in the early 90s so compilations like these had huge appeal to Hip Hop obssessed teenagers who wanted to either make tracks with their Midi'd up sequencers or their twin decks.
