UK Garage label, established in 1998 by Matthew Coleman AKA [a=MJ Cole]. Matt was not permitted to release records on other labels whilst signed to [l=Talkin' Loud] but revived Prolific in January 2004 when freed from this contract. [a=Andy Lewis (2)] (of [l=Locked On] fame) was the label's A&R until PROPH 106 but left Prolific in summer 2005 to work on other projects. Label head from February 2006 was [a=DJ Charma], owner of [l=Stereohype Recordings]. The label's last release was in 2013. MJ Cole established a new label, [l=892 Recordings] in 2016.
