Bill Darnell

American guitarist. Born in Michigan and raised in the San Fernando Valley. Not to be confused with singer/music executive [a=Bill Darnel]. Before joining Dewey Martin And Medicine Ball in 1968 Darnell worked with a Hollywood band called The Orphans and played a couple of local dates with Albert King. His other notable achievement was doing session work for Dave Allen & The Arrows. Darnell would ultimately become Medicine Ball’s longest serving member and would continue to work with Dewey Martin, on and off, over the next thirty years. Darnell and singer/songwriter/guitarist Ray Chafin (who was briefly with Darnell in Medicine Ball) founded the country-rock band Electric Range in the early ’90s.
