Mike Lease

Mike Lease is currently a working musician, fiddle player and instrumental music teacher. He also plays [or has played] guitar, [classical, flamenco] folk, blues, piano, organ, renaissance lute, sitar, bouzouki, mandolin and others. Mike spent most of the 'sixties in London, playing keyboards with various bands [The Zephyrs, The Pyramid, Freedom, etc..]. During this time, Mike was a busy session musician and worked with many future Legends of Rock. Mike fronted his own jazz/rock combo in the '70s called MLB. Originally from South Wales, where he currently lives, he plays fiddle in two traditional Irish bands [Murphy's Law Ceilidh Band and Crannog] and Welsh traditional band Hin Deg [Fair Weather]. He is currently recording an album on keyboards for Beverley Martyn, with Mark Pavey on guitar, Matt Malley [of Counting Crows] on bass, & Victor Bisetti [of Los Lobos] on drums.
