Roland Vamos

[b]Roland Vamos[/b] (b. 20 July 1930, New York) is an American violin and viola instructor, husband of [b][a=Almita Vamos][/b] who has been teaching on the faculty at [l=Music Institute Of Chicago] and [l1936068]'s Chicago College of Performing Arts for over 30 years. Roland and Almita Vamos earned the [i]Distinguished Teachers[/i] award from the [l993519]. Vamos studied at [l=Juilliard School] with [a=Oscar Shumsky] and [a=William Lincer]. Before accepting the position at MIC's faculty, Roland Vamos was a Professor of Viola at [a8455617], [l=The Oberlin Conservatory Of Music], [l=The University Of Minnesota], and [l=Northwestern University].
