Henri Tachan

French singer-songwriter born September 2,1939 in Moulins (Allier) and died July 16, 2023, in Avignon (Vaucluse) at the age of 83. Discovered by [a=Jacques Brel] in 1965, it accompanied the protest speech of the post-68 era. This archetype of the French singer with text, part of what was called the "tradition rive gauche" in the 1970s, his golden decade, when his poetry, his verve and his provocations found their audience. As his reputation as a cursed artist grew, victim of state censorship, then that of the media. Occurring on the same day as [a=Jane Birkin]'s death, his disappearance went unnoticed.
