Lia

Lia (りあ) is a jpop singer who is best known for her work with the Key Visual Arts group with such songs such as Tori no Uta (鳥の詩), Farewell Song, Saya's Song and Toki wo Kizamu Uta (時を刻む唄). She has also been involved in various other ventures such as the game Beatmania IIDX, the MMORPG RFOnline Japanese version and the anime Initial D Fourth Stage. She is fluent in English and Japanese. Lia started out with I've as a guest "utahime", appearing on the I've compilation Verge with 鳥の詩 -short version.- She then released her first single with I've, Shift -sedai no mukou- (Shift -世代の向こう-). After this she released her final song with I've, Disintegration, on the compilation of the same name. During the two year transition to her current label, Queen's Label, she has been featured on a few happy hardcore and trance compilations which led up to the release of her enigmatic LIA album - a happy hardcore/trance style remix album. The series has then continued into its third iteration featuring artists from the Japanese and overseas hardcore scene. Since the release of her debut album Prismatic on Queen's Label, Lia has released various other albums and singles including a best of compilation box called "Lia Collection Box" which collects her work from various sources together in three loosely themed compilations. The style of her works span usually fall within the pop, jazz or classical genres. This in addition to her happy hardcore work shows a versatility and strong range in Lia's voice. Lia is also a lyricist, composer and producer. She has also attended the Berklee College of Music.
