Lesson Seven

Lesson Seven (or Lesson 7), was an industrial dance band from Dallas, Texas circa 1986-1992. The band was made up of Wynne Martin (keyboards, sampling, programming), [a5131246] (vocals and talking) and [a1197402] (guitars and keyboards). They had tracks produced by [a24423], and Kurt Larsen singer of [a11287]. They toured with [a11192] (1988 "VIVI Sect VI Tour,") [a3857] (1990 "Pretty Hate Machine," and 1991 "Sin Tours,") and [a26495] in 1991. They performed often with industrial, techno and goth bands: Clan of Xymox, Consolidated, Front Line Assembly, Laibach, Ministry, Psychic TV, Revolting Cocks, Weathermen, and many others from 88’-92’. Their 12” was "Radiation," came out originally on Oak Lawn Records in 1989 and was an underground and high energy favorite. It was later remixed and released on an early "NRG Mixxx Vol.1 Issue 5," on the compilation CD "Retro Club Classics," released in 1999. They achieved major club and college radio play often charting on CMJ (College Music Journal) and top DJ lists across the U.S. They released one CD entitled "Audio Assault," which was a compilation of tracks from Lesson Seven, a rap/industrial outfit called ITT (International Thief Thief) and their combined side project called Audio Assault. ITT and Lesson Seven often toured together and combined their over the top performances which caught the ears of MC 900 Ft. Jesus. It was released in 1991 on Crystal Clear Records. Lesson Seven and Audio Assault also appeared on two compilation records from radio station KDGE in Dallas in the early 90’s. "Vol. 1," and "Vol. 4." The band ceased to exist in 92’.
