Antoine Brumel
Composer of the Franco-Flemish Renaissance (born in France, c. 1460 - died in Mantova (?), 1512 or 1513). Contemporary of Josquin, Brumel belongs to the third generation of Franco-Flemish renaissance composers. Active in France and Switzerland, he moved to Italy in 1506 to replace Jacob Obrecht as choirmaster at the Este court in Ferrara. He stayed in Italy until death, likely in Mantova.
