Arthur Gleghorn

British flute & piccolo player. Born 1906 - Died 1980. Member of the [a=London Philharmonic Orchestra] in the 1930s, the [a=London Symphony Orchestra] (1933-1936) and then Principal of the [a=Philharmonia Orchestra] on its formation in 1945. He moved to Los Angeles, California in 1948 and in 1950 he joined the [a289567] as Principal Flute. He also was Principal Flute with [a838447] for over 20 years. He retired in 1973.
