Bjørn Aslaksen

Norwegian guitarist, composer and arranger, from Stavanger, born 1950, died September 2020. He was probably best known as a composer, arranger and band leader for Løgnaslaget. However, he started out as a rock musician, and his most famous band was Barock (formerly Witchcraft), a local "super band" where Aslaksen was the big promoter. Later he played for a long time in Ryfylke Visegruppe, which was his haunt during the so-called Stavangerrock wave. He was part of the Frank Zappa inspired project Stick it Out, which consisted of, among others, Craig Whitson. He also played in Dagsland & Baardsen. Bjørn Aslaksen released his first solo record, the instrumental album "Memories Dreams and Songs 1" in 2020, under the name "Aslaksen". He died the same year, after a long illness. He was the son of [a4307829].
