Voot Warnings

Voot Warnings is an alternative rock musician from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A lead singer and guitarist, Voot has fronted several bands since the 1980's, as well as gigging under his own name. David Wood AKA "Voot" frequently dresses in drag during gigs in a "trashy" baby doll fashion. As "Voot Warnings" his band included drummer [a=Victor Demichei] and bassist/keyboardist Mary Firary. They released 2 albums on Charm School Records, the 1995 debut, "Platinum" and "You Owe Me Ten Bucks" in 1996. Voot, David Wood, worked closely with other Milwaukee area bands, most notably The [a=Violent Femmes]. He wrote "Dance, Motherfucker, Dance" which the Femmes frequently play live. Over the years, Voot hasd been in numerous bands, including, Box, Voot Warnings' Mama, The Trash Queens, The Fresh Sounds and [a=The Gothics], a band he formed with [a=Plasticland]'s [a=John Frankovic].
