Steve Spring
Drummer. Died October 2020, age 55 Steve was the drummer in the Mission for a few years between October 2003 and 2007, featuring on the 'Lighting The Candles' live DVD and the 'God Is A Bullet' album. He had a drum kit since he was 5 years old and turned professional at 18. Besides music, he had other occupations (set building conference exhibitions). He also played a bit of bass, bit of guitar, a few keyboards, and had his own recording studio. But no singing! He was totally self taught. Mr. Spring played on Gary Dyson's "Pain And Pleasure" single in 1992. He spent a couple of years living in France working with artists such as Guesch Patti, Murray Head, and then in England doing sessions at Abbey Road for producers such as Dave Bascombe. He lived in Switzerland for 2 years working for Karls Kuhne Gassenschau (a theatre company based in Zurich). He played with Curve, and made headlines for getting arrested on the flight to their US tour in March 1998.
