Ruben Vela

Rio Grande Valley accordionist born in San Antonio, Texas. In the mid-1950s he began appearing regularly on live radio shows in Harlingen and made his first recording in 1956 for Discos Falcon. In 1983, he was included in the Conjunto Hall of Fame.
