Mexican. Alonso López Valdés, double bass player, bassist and composer, is one of the most active musicians on the jazz and popular music scene in Mexico. He is part of several musical projects, such as: Tank Trio, Hernan Hecht X-Pression Quartet, Federico Sánchez Vol. II, Gibrán Andrade Cuarteto, Daniel, Me Estás Matando, Hombre Árbol, to name a few. He has participated with musicians of international stature such as Juan Pablo Arredondo, Jorrit Dijkstra, Jeb Bishop, Eugénie Jobin, Rotem Sivan, among others.
