DJ Yama. A unique DJ who is a Zen temple priest but is devoted to black music. Focusing on rare groove sounds such as jazz, soul, funk, AOR, he has played in various clubs in Tokyo since he was in his twenties, and from that experience he has also served as a regular DJ for 8 years at the local FM station Radio Tsukuba in Ibaraki. In addition, he released the MIX CD "Groove Collector" series and "Hawaiian Flavor" series, and gained the support of core fans due to the height of the mix work, and is currently receiving DJ offers from all over the country. In recent years, he has deepened exchanges with foreign countries, such as participating in "Soul Time In Tokyo sponsored by Hawaii's emerging label Aloha Got Soul. Currently, he also produces the jazz-funk band "Noujazz", featuring popular singers such as Nick Kurosawa and J. Lamotta Suzume, and all the released 7 inches are sold out.
