Nicki Richards

Vocalist born 24 March in Honolulu, Hawaii, U.S.A. In addition to being the featured vocalist for many of [a=Frankie Knuckles] House anthems, Richards is a much in demand backing and sessions vocalist. She has recorded and performed for the past several years with [a=Madonna], [a=Mariah Carey], [a=Whitney Houston], [a=Mick Jagger], [a=Tina Turner], [a=Michael Jackson], [a=Gloria Estefan], [a=Céline Dion], [a=Stevie Wonder], [a=Linda Ronstadt], [a=Mary J. Blige], [a=Missy Elliott], [a=Lenny Kravitz], [a=Ultra Naté], [a=Anastacia], [a=Bette Midler], [a=Maxi Priest] and the Rev. [a=Al Green] just to name a few. She has also starred in films such as [i]Colorz of Rage[/i], appeared in television commercials and in several theatre productions, including the late [a=Cy Coleman]'s [i]Like Jazz[/i] in Los Angeles, Jim Steinman's [i]Over The Top[/i] on the East Coast, the Penumbra Theatre's [i]Spunk[/i] by Zora Neale Hurston and [i]Beehive[/i] in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. She released her own album on [url=http://www.discogs.com/label/Atlantic]Atlantic Records[/url], [url=http://www.discogs.com/release/433919][i]Naked (To The World)[/i][/url] which she wrote and co-produced. Nicki was a Grand Prize Winner on Star Search and has performed on the children's television show [i]Between The Lions[/i] on PBS. Richards currently lives in Manhattan where she does studio and jingle work when she's not touring.
