Cotton Club (2)

Swedish eighties synth-pop band. Cotton Club's long career is now crowned with success after having performed at the Royal wedding of H.R.H Crown Princess Victoria and Daniel Westling on June 19, 2010. But many years before that, in 1984, the band was formed and had a debut performance or, perhaps, performances on the night club scenes of Stockholm. Cotton Club has therefore now, more or less, a legendary cult status among an entire generation of party people! But, Cotton Club's career has also continued with countless other shows and tours all over Scandinavia. In recent years also with performances in France, in Germany, in Spain and in Greece, and the band has also made several tours to Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. The band's unique blend of soul, disco and jazz - flavored with Las Vegas, Frank Sinatra and glamour - has made Cotton Club to the number one entertainment orchestra in Sweden, and the band's good reputation internationally is growing fast. Current members of the band in 2015 are: Richard Häger - vocals, Band leader Kayo Shekoni - vocals Nils Tanaka - percussion Mikael Renliden - trumpet Staffan Odenhall - saxophone Stefan Woody - drums Tomas Sjögren - trumpet Anders Carlsson - trombone Hans Sjögren - keyboards Johan Håkansson - saxophone Tomas Vrethammar - bass Johan Lindman - guitar
