The Drawbars
"Off Jazz" will be on the record box into which the records of the band from Hamburg will be sorted, the Hammond B3 organ will be a normal instrument again, trio jazz will be played in the charts again and in the clubs of course only danced to live bands. That's how The Drawbars imagine their future - making legendary records, travelling the world and writing music history! If you now think that the gentlemen have been wrong in the decade and are otherwise not quite in their right mind, you can count yourself among the unromantic realists who would rather prepare their tax returns than break into an open-air swimming pool. Others simply enjoy the funny guys with the old organ and their songs about cats, cheats and crispy frogs. Here old funk meets soulful jazz, improvisation, daring and trial and error, psychedelic elements waft, grooves groove, a crazy trip backwards into the future, political statement, soundtrack for the head cinema, treasure map and declaration of love all in one: The Drawbars play "Off Jazz"!
