Lucas Lindholm
Swedish bassist, born on March 2, 1943 in Lund, Skåne. Lindholm grew up in a musical family and began playing cello and piano at the age of nine. At the age of 13 he switched to double bass; just one year later he played with dance and jazz bands. At the local music school, Lindholm received classical double bass lessons from the age of 15; soon he also played in the local youth orchestra. After completing his military service, he moved to Malmö, where he accompanied American jazz musicians such as [a251333] and [a145263]. With Gordon he played together for many years in different line-ups. In addition, he completed classical double bass studies at the conservatory; especially on the electric bass he was active at this time as a studio musician. He then moved to Stockholm, where he also worked with [a254945], [a120623], [a277537] and [a675601].
