[Releases included: Folked Up Jazz (1994); Living In The Past Lane (1996)] The band consisted of: Cicilia Kemezys - Flutes and Vocals, Bruce Packard - Bass, Mandocello and Vocals, Dave O'Neill - Guitar, Fiddle, Mandolin and Vocals and Tony Hunter - Mandolin, Mandola, Guitar and Vocals Straight Ahead played a mix of music so diverse that trying describe their style was impossible, their concert repertoire consisted of moving seamlessly from genre to genre blending Folk, Jazz, Blues, Swing, Bossa and other influences, their unpredictable performances made them popular with Folk audiences and Jazz audiences alike, for Jazz lovers they blended Jazz with Folk, for Folk lovers they blended Folk with Jazz. In their final years together Straight Ahead included [a6523040] (Jon Jones) on percussion and they were a headline act at festivals they attended.
