Valerie (88)

A native of Fajardo, Puerto Rico, Valerie is an experienced singer and host working in what she calls my life's passion. Although, her original ambition was geared towards a business administration and law degree, an announcement in a local puertorrican newspaper soliciting merengue singers drastically changed the course of her life. Since then she has sang with various musical groups in Puerto Rico such as Son D' Azucar, Merengue A Plus, Manny Manuel, Estilo H, Lou Navas Band, Mambo Swing, and Sonia Lpez y La Gran Banda. Although she doesn't consider herself an actress, in 2001 she began to partake in various television comedy shows, under the production of Tony Mojena Television, an affiliate of Telemundo in Puerto Rico, which included programs such as "El Gran Bejuco", "Susa y Epifanio", "Dame un Break" among others. In 2002 she was discovered by Red Shadow, a radio and television personality who brought her into hosting on TV shows and events all around the beautiful Isla del Encanto. Later on she joined the promotions team of the Puerto Rican radio station "La X" (100.7FM). At "La X" Valerie served as the image of the station by hosting special events and promotions and worked with them in the production department creating jingles for the morning, mid-day and afternoon shows. In 2003, she reunited with my long time friend, reggaeton producer, Norgie Noriega who offered her an opportunity to record as a reggaeton artist. She went on to sign a recording contract with record label Flow Music. "Te Exitare" was her first hit which made the Billboard listings in the Tropical airplay category and remained there for several weeks. Valerie participated in "The Noise La Biografia" with "Lo Que Quiero Es Bailar" featuring Cidely and In "Noriega Contra La Corriente" with "Ven Y Baila. She has also featured in songs with Wisin y Yandel, Daddy Yankee, Las Guanabanas, Hector y Tito, Peligro, Big Boy, among others.
