Holger Laumann

Danish multiinstrumentalist, bandleader, composer and educator (1942-2007). Throughout his career he played various reed instruments but mainly saxophone in an extremely variated number of groups and setting, beginning with his 1961-1962 jazzensemble Safari Jazz that included later Rolling Stones drummer [a=Charlie Watts] who at the time lived in the little provinsial town Randers in Denmark. His main groups are the jazzrock group [a=Tears] and the jazzrock bigbands [a=Cox Orange] and [a=Det Beskidte Dusin]. Married [a=Anne Linnet] in 1974 with whom he had daughter [a=Evamaria Linnet]. Second marriage to script writer [a3266301] with whom he had [a=Julie Brostrøm Laumann] and drummer [a=Oliver Louis Brostrøm Laumann]
