Lena Ericsson

Swedish singer, backing vocalist for [a=ABBA] and actress, born January 21, 1952 in Stockholm. She was educated at Adolf Fredrik's music school in Stockholm. For a few years she toured as a vocalist in Leif Kronlund's big band. Lena Ericsson participated in Hasse å Tage's revue Svea Hund at Göta Lejon in 1976 and in the farce Charleys Tant at Vasan with Sven Lindberg among others in 1977. In 1979 she toured as a backing singer with ABBA during their world tour through North America and Europe. She participated in the Melodifestivalen 1974 with the song "En enda jord", which finished in third place. She also appeared in 1982 with "Någonting har hänt", which ended in second place. She has participated in musicals such as "Sommarnattens leende" at Folkan in Stockholm and Cats at Chinateatern. She has also participated in the opera Barfotaliv at the Folkoperan. From 1987–2004, she played the lead role as the stubborn Brus-Britta in Skinnarspelet in Malung. Lena Ericsson has lent her voice in some Disney movies, including Peter and the Dragon. She has also lent her voice to programs such as Ed, Edd & Eddy and Powerpuffpinglorna.
