Tragida

Tragida is part of "The Colorspace": The Colorspace is the receptacle of Dario Lupo's projects. He's a class 1987 musician and producer from Salerno, Italy. His dynamic and eclectic sound's palette range from the trance/progressive vibes of his project Tragida, to the electronic moods of Need A Name, ending with the spacious ambient/piano music of Kiis. His projects are represented by colors: Red: simbolizes energy and euphoria, it's Tragida. Purple: simbolizes experimentalism and futurism, it's Need a Name. Blue: simbolizes calm and immersion, it's Kiis. Dario Lupo was born in Salerno, Italy, his musical instinct started to become evident as a young teenager. His first production endevours comprised of commercial dance tracks, a musical style particularly popular in Italy, but his ambition and his soul soon guided his path to his true passion -- trance. His first contact with the trance music world was provided by the track "Gouryella - Ligaya", which struck him to a degree that he instantly felt a connection with the harmonic soundscapes, very characteristic of the genre. Over the last few years, Dario's project, "Tragida", served as a vessel for him to develop his production skills and sensitivity towards his music. It was under that name that Dario signed his first contract with start-up label "Emotive Sounds", where he would release his first track, "Saint Rush - Pyro (Tragida Remix)". His debut release attracted the attention of many entities in the trance scene, and with the emerging success, he later joined other labels eventually creating his other aliases, "Likuida, Azure Sunset, Simplicty". In early 2007, Dario joined "Daif Records", a Swedish label owned and managed by Joakim Daif & Aimee Bailey, working with "Royal Tek Records", runned by Fabio Batti, at the same time. Tragida's singles and remixes gave the trance scene another taste of what Dario was capable of. With the exposure, it was not long since his productions started to spin on such shows as Armin van Buuren's "A State of Trance", Above & Beyond's "Trance Around the World", Aly & Fila's "Middle East in the Mix" & "Future Sound of Egypt" and Super8 & DJ Tab's "Anjunabeats Worldwide". In 2008, Dario decided to have a break, and focus on a more mature approach to his productions, essentially being a natural evolution of his later projects. After taking the break, in 2009 he started producing music with his new created alias "Need a Name", he made a single, "Edoele" featured on a compilation by Sostanze Records (an Italian Net-Label) and a 18 tracks album, "Now I Found Myself" released for free in late 2010. In 2010 he worked on a new album for Need a Name called "Sizzling Plucks", restarted making music under the "Tragida" alias and created a new project: "Kiis", relaxing music based on piano and ambient compositions.
