Seffy Efrati

Yosef (Sefi) Efrati, born on November 28, 1975, is an Israeli musician renowned for his roles as a bassist and keyboardist, primarily in rock bands. He is a member of Aviv Geffen's band "The Mistakes", the international group "Blackfield", and the Israeli rock band "Monica Sex". Efrati was born in Jerusalem, raised in Herzliya, and relocated to Tel Aviv at the age of 22. From a young age, he immersed himself in music, starting as a keyboard player. Initially, he performed with the band "Johnny the Firefighter" alongside Shai Nobelman and guitarist Uri Kalian, before moving on to play bass guitar with notable artists such as Aviv Geffen, Chemi Rodner, Ram Orion, Ninet Tayeb, and others. He has also been a part of various bands, including "The Wookie Tokies" (with Asaf Shrig) and "Batray Zuzay", among others. In 2004, he was invited to play with "Blackfield", and by 2010, he officially joined "Monica Sex". In 2010, Efrati began working on an album with producer Guy Shemi. The first single from the album, "Don't Want to Tel Aviv", was released in December 2011, followed by the second single, "She Will Be Mine", in February 2012. The album, titled "Wake Up in Another Country", was released in May 2012. Efrati has also ventured into acting; in 2003, he appeared in the film "I Promise You a Flight", and in 2008, he played a leading role in the HOT series "Make Me a Child" alongside the lead singer of Mercedes Band, Gal Toren. Additionally, he often participates in student films. In July 2021, Efrati released the song "(That Song of) Miki Shaviv", and in 2022, he featured in the documentary film "Angry and Fast: The Story of Fast Music and the Turntable" by Amit Itzcar. On a personal note, Sefi Efrati is the brother of artist Yael Efrati.
