Charles Harris (2)

American jazz double-bassist, known as Charlie Harris, who played with Nat "King Cole" for 13 years. He previously worked with Lionel Hampton. Born 9 January 1916 in Alexandria, Virginia, and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Harris died 9 September 2003 at Bon Secours Hospital in Baltimore.
