Were-Vana

Guadeloupean singer, songwriter, and producer born December 30th in Abymes, Guadeloupe performing with lyrics in French and Guadeloupean Creole. Raised in Sainte-Anne, Guadeloupe in a family of tambour players, he is the nephew of Sergius and Hilaire Geoffroy, Two of the most famous voices in Gwoka music, a Guadeloupean musical style. As a child, he was a member of Kan’nida, a band performing traditional music that was founded by his uncle Francky. He is currently busy fusing the Gwoka style of music with modern hip-hop, r'n'b and conemporary pop, such as can be heard on the track 'Baimbridge chô' which features Admiral T.
