Hard rock band from Spain. The group was formed in early 2006 when two music lovers Luis Miguel Díaz Valdés (born in Avilés) and Luis Alberto Herrero Sariego met in Avilés at a certain record store that the latter ran. Both having similar musical tastes, they began to talk about putting together a group inspired by the great Hard rock groups of the 80s and 70s. They began to compose and began their journey with several acoustic concerts, which received a good response from both the public and critics, so they decided to take the step of completing the band to be able to perform electric concerts. They were joined on guitar by Ricardo Herrero Sariego (brother of Luis Alberto) who played in groups on the Mierense scene such as “Theburninglust” or Fago Cowboys”, they also recruited bassist and drummer, although throughout these years they have had several changes of direction. formation, Carlos Barrio Gómez (Fago Cowboys, A-66) currently plays drums and Francisco Javier Mateos Fernandez (Tierra De Nadie) on bass. At the end of 2008 they entered a competition with the song “We're Livin' In A Bar” to be the Spanish representative of Eurovision at the 2009 festival held in Russia. The selection was made through the Internet with votes from the public, being selected from more than 1000 contestants and going on to a casting for RTVE along with another 30 participants. Against all odds they managed to be selected along with 9 other contestants and managed to perform on TVE1 in the televised galas presented by Alaska. In October 2010, after shuffling several producers, they began recording their debut album “Real Leather” at the Bunker studios in Posada de Llanera with Alberto Rionda (Avalanch) in production, to finish at the end of December with the master. Achieving a personal rock sound with metal influences but with some Glam touch, baptizing their sound as “Leather Rock” in the vein of bands like Guns and roses, Mötley crüe, Kiss or The Cult. From mid-2011 to mid-2013 they have presented the album throughout Spain, Madrid, Barcelona, ​​the Basque Country, León, Galicia, Asturias...etc. Receiving very good reviews from specialized media such as the magazines rock and roll popular 1, Ruta 66, rock nacional, mondosonoro...etc. As in various specialized websites. In mid-2013 the group decided to end the “Real Leather tour” and decided to lock themselves in the rehearsal room to prepare what would be the continuation of their debut album. -A year later in the month of July (2014) they started recording at the ACME studio in Miranda (Asturias) with the renowned producer and musician Miguel Herrero looking for a more classic and vintage sound with clear influences from the Hard rock of the 70s. although preserving its 80s essence and updating it with some 90s touches. Achieving a raw sound but at the same time elegant and full of nuances. The album features the collaboration of several established artists from the Asturian music scene such as the guitarist and singer Tonino Bustamante (Marvel, Breca, Tres Jabalies, Kwen...etc.), the singer Ramon Lage (Avalanch, Paco Jones, Geysser, Human... etc.), the saxophonist Juan Flores (Ilegales), the singer Flichy Hickock (Fago Cowboys), the guitarist Camilo Varón (Varon y los Dandies), the singer Laura Gonzalez (Kwen) and the multi-instrumentalist Miguel Herrero (Alexandra In Gray, Alto Volto...etc.) who, in addition to producing the album, collaborates as drummer, guitarist, backing vocals and keyboards on most of the songs on the album, becoming involved as the sixth member of the group to get the best final product. The cover design is by Mierense illustrator “Smoker Lopez” who has several well-known published works and has been nominated for the 2015 AMAS awards. The mastering was carried out at the Green desert Mastering studios by Kike Sanchís. At the end of 2014 and beginning of 2015, the album was presented in Asturias, obtaining very good reviews and a large audience on all its dates, but due to several changes in the line-up, the group had to postpone the tour and cancel some of their concerts. presentation by the rest of the state. LeatherDangerous guitarist Dick left the band to dedicate himself to other musical projects and was replaced by LeatherDirtyDuke, just as Leatherpreacher's drummer position was occupied by LeathersixtyNine, debuting in the Asturian television contest Festiamas2015, in which the band qualified for the final. held in September 2015 in Oviedo. The specialized media, both state and foreign, once again praise the album as one of the best of 2015, the group spends part of 2015 and 2016 presenting it in Asturias, Galicia and Madrid. At the end of 2016 marks the tenth anniversary of the band's formation and the composition process begins to record new songs in a commemorative EP titled "Decade of decadence" with old songs that had not yet seen the light, recorded by the old lineup and new songs recorded by the current lineup, thus combining past, present and future in this new release. The new songs are once again recorded, produced and mastered in the ACME studios with Miguel Herrero where their previous album was recorded . The EP came out in February 2017, receiving very good reviews and appearing on lists of the year's highlights, with the tour lasting until the end of 2018. Right now they are immersed in the composition of their next studio album that will be released throughout 2019. In 2020 they signed with the Madrid label The Fish Factory with which they released their new album "Born In The Seventies in September. The album was recorded at the Tutu studios in Avilés and produced by Sergio Tutu. The album was re-released as a double album (LP + 10" with bonus tracks) as "Born & Reborn In The Seventies". May 2023 saw the release of their biography including a CD with the best songs of their repertoire. In October 2023 they announced that during the next few months due to the imminent paternity of Leather DeeDee Allin (Dirty Duke for friends) he will take a break from live performances and will be temporarily replaced by Mr Chema Bretón (Rock&Rockets, Beast Inside) renamed Leather Breton (pronounced with an English accent). Another member who is already part of the Leather Boys family and history.
