Hos Anna

Danish rock group active from 1975 to 1980. [a1023806] met the sisters [a1333792] and [a564139] at the University of Copenhagen, where they were studying musicology. They signed up for a jazz event in the summer of 1975 at Vallekilde Folk High School. There, they met [a1839417] and the band was formed, which made them one of the first serious all-female rock bands from Denmark, together with [a1069076] and [a4793023]. They played at the women's festival in [l347383], Copenhagen in August 1975 for about 40,000 spectators, which made them a popular group in Denmark. They played a lot of concerts and after the release of the first LP in March 1977, the drummer [a1839417] left the band, because she didn't like the big audiences caused by the popularity the group gained. Male musicians [a442447] and [a213891] became members, and some adherents of the Danish women's movement didn't enjoy that the band were no longer an all-female group.
