Classical hornist., Former Principal Horn with the [a=London Symphony Orchestra] (1928-1932), and the [a=BBC Symphony Orchestra] (1945-1949). He joined the [a=Philharmonia Orchestra] in 1949 as fifth horn, and then the [a=London Philharmonic Orchestra].
