Michel Bisceglia

Born in Belgium in 1970 to a family of Italian origin, Michel toured first time at age 19 in Germany with the American jazz guitar player Garrison Fewell, playing synthesizers, Fender Rhodes and samplers. In 1991 he founded German jazz trio 'Cattleya' together with Harald Ingenhag and Volker Heinze. At age 26 he founded his own trio. In 1997 and 1999 Michel received a nomination of the Belgian ZAMU award in the category "the best musician of the year". Other activities include composing a work for 80-piece classical opera orchestra "Touch Yesterday" in 1993, writing over 200 orchestrations for symphonic orchestra and string quartets and writing soundtrack orchestration scores for the world-wide TV cartoon series 'Symfollies'. In 2004 Michel founded his own orchestra PROVA SYMFONICA. As an educator he has been on the faculty of the Royal Music Conservatory in Brussels at age 23. Michel has played more than 180 concerts a year since he was 20 and performed all around the world.
