Lloyd Lambert

Jazz & rhythm & blues bassist, born Thibodeaux, Louisiana, 4 July 1928, died 31 October 1995. Bassist and bandleader "Luscious" Lloyd Lambert's band backed [a720589] in the studio and on the road in the 1950s; he also worked with [a30552] and [a223473], among many others. In later years, he was a fixture at Bourbon Street clubs, toured with [a273723] and occasionally sat in at Preservation Hall. He was brother of pianist and singer [a2688129], father of Theresa Andersson's bassist Lloyd Lambert, Jr., and the grandfather of bluesman [a4777915].
