Nordjysk Pigekor

Danish girls choir from North Jutland, originated from a childrens choir in Frederikshavn in the 1930s. In 1954, [a2841190] became manager of the vocal section of the folk music school and established an elite choir, "Folkemusikskolens pigekor" (The Folk Music School's Girls' Choir) based on the core of the children's choir. When Tage Mortensen left Frederikshavn in 1956, the choir continued its activities with interruptions and under different leaders.
