Alfonso Surrett

b. Alfonso Surrett, Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A. Singer / songwriter, Alfonzo Surrett is also a talented, Chicago based, vocalist. Alfonzo recorded one album entitled 'Comin' Out' for MCA in 1980. The album featured 'Gimme Your Love', popular on the UK soul scene. As a backing singer Alfonzo also recorded with Leroy Hutson ('Feel The Spirit', 'Hutson II', 'Unforgettable' and 'Closer To The Source'). He also recorded with Aretha Franklin on her album 'Almighty Fire' in 1978. Alfonzo also sang with the late Curtis Mayfield on his soundtrack album to the movie 'Short Eyes'. Alfonzo Surrett is now a Pastor in South Holland, Illinois.
