Walther Von Der Vogelweide

Middle High German Minnesänger (= minnesinger) (1170–1230 CE). He studied his art under the renowned poetry master Reinmar the Olde at Duke Frederick I's court of Vienna, where he stayed until the Duke's death in 1198. Von der Vogelweide then lived a "juggler's life", wanderering from court to court, singing for his lodging and his bread.
