Stephen Orton

British classical cellist, and cello tutor. Born in Ripon, Yorkshire, England, UK. He studied at [l305416]. He has been Principal Cello with the [a=Bournemouth Sinfonietta] and the [a=City Of London Sinfonia] and was also a member of [a=The Delmé String Quartet] for ten years. In 1985, he became Principal Cello with [a=The Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields]. Also a member of the [a=Academy Of St. Martin-in-the-Fields Chamber Ensemble]. In 2013, he joined the [a=Chilingirian String Quartet]. Cello tutor at the [l920971].
