José Manuel Luzárraga

Pichín Luzárraga, as he was known by his family, friends and in the artistic environment, was part of Los X6, with Tommy O'Rorke and Pepe Núñez. He joined as a guitarist, in 1977, the rock group Los Shadows. Soon it was united to the Corvets and, later, to the Four. The artist, who in addition to playing the guitar, played the bass and was also the first voice, formed duets with Roberto Viera and Tito Hansel. "We met at 16 or 17, I was the director of Los Corvets at that time. I told Pichín that I gave him my job, so José enters to play at Los Corvets, where he stayed for a year. Then, in 1972, we formed a group with something more quality, I took it to Pichín from Los Corvets and we started with Los Cuatro. We played in places like Club de la Unión and Guayaquil Country Club, "said Viera. Last September, he was honored for his musical career at the Saab family residence, singing boleros, ballads, Italian music and instrumental music.
